School Board Has Voted To Terminate Holocaust-Questioning Principal

The Palm Beach County School Board has voted to officially part ways with a former principal who once told a parent that he couldn't say whether the Holocaust really happened.

Board members on Tuesday terminated William Latson's employment after last week's vote to rescind an offer to rehire Latson left him on unpaid suspension.

State Representative Mike Caruso has been following this case closely.

"Denial of the Holocaust is just wrong and according to my bill that I passed into law, it's illegal to say that in his position."

Caruso's law, which passed last year, makes it illegal to carry out acts of anti-semitism in schools. It also codifies the definition of "anti-semitism," in the Florida statutes and Holocaust-denial is included in that definition.
