FAU Postpones Saturday's Game After Players, Coaches Test COVID-Positive

No football this weekend for players and fans of one Florida college team.

Florida Atlantic University has postponed Saturday's football game against Georgia Southern after the latest COVID-19 test results this morning.

FAU canceled its football practice on Tuesday, and head coach Willie Taggart said on Wednesday that 11 players, staff and coaches had tested positive for COVID-19.

The road game would have been the first of the season for the Owls, and would have brought national exposure with the game being broadcast on ESPN's main network.

The team had its first two games of the season canceled.

The two schools are working to find a new date to play the game.
