The Full Story:

Prince Harry is new to Los Angeles, and who better to show him around than a fellow Brit who also happens to be an LA local? Harry made his United States late night talk show debut last night on “The Late Late Show with James Corden.”

Harry’s appearance was as special for him as it was for Corden and folks at home. Since Harry’s been living in California during lockdown, it was his first real chance to see the city sights – not to mention, his first time on a double decker bus. Corden’s been living in Los Angeles for six years now, but he remembers his English roots. So to give Harry a “little slice of home” – and “bring a bit of class” – he kicked things off by wheeling a tea tray out on the moving bus… which ended up spilling all over Harry.

Harry also got real about his and Meghan’s royal exit, which he called “stepping back” rather than “stepping down.” “It was a very difficult environment, and it was destroying my mental health, [it was] toxic,” he confessed. “I did what any husband [or] father would do, and was like, ‘I need to get my family out of here.’ But we didn’t walk away, I will never walk away.”

  • One of the highlights was when Harry visited the house from the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” – a Real Prince, at the house of the Fresh Prince! Corden gave Meghan Markle a surprise FaceTime call to try and sell her on buying the house, but she said they’d “done enough moving.” Harry felt comfortable enough to take a bathroom break at the house, and he also rapped some of the “Fresh Prince” theme song!
  • Harry gave us a glimpse at life at home with Archie and Meghan. He revealed that the Queen got Archie a waffle maker for Christmas, and that baby Sussex wakes up in the morning saying “waffle!” That’s not the only word Archie knows, Harry says he’s full of them now. And as for Archie’s first word, it was pretty advanced… “crocodile,” three whole syllables!
  • Harry gave his take on Netflix’s “The Crown,” which he called “loosely based on the truth,” just like the “obviously fiction” tabloid headlines about him and Meghan.
  • To wrap things up, Corden challenged Harry to an intense obstacle course… and Harry walked all over him, getting muddy in the process. His military training really shined there!

Harry’s special “Late Late Show” segment was fun and heartwarming, and Harry got realer than we’re used to hearing from him. You can watch the whole thing HERE.
