Alton Brown gives a tutorial on how to remove the rind of a watermelon in one perfect piece using a wire cheese cutter. He does it in just four simple steps; 1) cut the watermelon into 2 inch thick rounds 2) cut a notch in the rind of each round 3) slip in the wire of the cheese cutter and rotate the round 360 degrees 4) remove the rind in one perfect piece.
