Strangers shower little girl battling bone cancer with daisies for her 11th birthday.

After meeting Daisy, a little girl battling a rare bone cancer for the second time, breast cancer survivor Ashli Brehmwanted to “shower her with flowers.” So she asked followers on her blog, Baby on the Brehm, to send any interpretation of daisies or flowers, including paper flowers, daisy drawings, daisy headbands, and real daisies to Daisy for her 11th birthday.

"Daisy probably doesn’t even know who I am," Ashli wrote. "This is going to be a surprise for her from all good hearts. Let’s shower this girl with happiness for her 11th bday!!" And her readers didn’t disappoint. Flowers and floral-themed gifts poured in to Daisy in Nebraska Medicine's Buffett Cancer Center and the hospital says in a Facebook post that “the response was overwhelming.”

"When I walked in and saw all these flowers I looked shocked and wanted to faint — but I knew I couldn't," Daisy tells the hospital in a video. "I am so happy."
