Austin community comes together to track down a dog thief and return a puppy to his owner.
A family in Austin, Texas was reunited with their stolen puppy thanks to help from a TV news crew and local police. Karl Kupecz shared the news in a Facebook postthat his new puppy, Bear, was taken from his yard and the community came together to help track the pet and alleged thief down.
Kupecz shared his home security video and photos of the woman who appears to take Bear and filed a police report and then a CBS Austin crew doing a story about the theft saw someone walking down the street who looked like the suspect. After chasing her down with the news crew, he called 911 and the police helped chase her down. They caught her and Bear was located and is doing fine now.
“This was a community effort with the police, social media, news crews, pedestrians etc.,” Kupecz writes about the effort to find Bear in an update on Facebook. “I can't begin to express how thankful our family is for everyone’s help and getting the word out.”

Obamacare repeal has failed in the Senate in 49-51 vote
The Senate's ongoing effort to pass a newly stripped down version of the Affordable Care Act failed during a 49-51 vote this morning.
The Senate Budget Committee made a last ditch effort and presented the Health Care Freedom Act in effort to repeal Obamacare. Nicknamed the so-called "skinny bill," it included a repeal of the individual mandate to purchase insurance, a repeal of the employer mandate to provide insurance, the defunding of Planned Parenthood, a provision to give states more flexibility to opt out of insurance waivers and a three-year repeal of the medical device tax.
It also proposed increased amounts for individual contributions to Health Savings Accounts.
Sen. Susan Collins, Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Sen. John McCain rejected the bill - and in fact, McCain cast the deciding vote. See McCain's theatrical "nay" vote on the right.
