Indianapolis builds ramps along downtown canal to help baby ducks and geese to get out of the water.
The downtown canal in Indianapolis just a little safer for the baby ducks and geese. City officials have installed four small wooden ramps to help the ducklings and goslings get out of the water.
They decided to have the ramps put in after learning that the young ducks and geese were dying because they were too tiny to climb or jump over the canal’s cement edges. And PETA was quick to issue a statement thanking the city for helping the waterfowl.
“PETA thanks the city of Indianapolis for doing the right thing in striving to coexist with local wildlife,” they said. “These ramps are a responsible and practical way for the city to make a world of difference for each duckling who will be able to escape drowning in the canal.”

- Brandon Mychal Smith seems to be the next host of “America’s Got Talent.”
- Marlon Wayans was the first choice, but he wanted too much money.
- Nick Cannon quit the gig last month.
Are congratulations in order for Brandon Mychal Smith? We’re not sure, but it looks like he might replace Nick Cannon at the next host of "America's Got Talent.”
Nothing’s official yet, but the deal should be done in a few days. While Marlon Wayans was the first choice, he wanted more money than the network was willing to pay. Besides, Brandon would be an easier transition since Marlon already has a solid brand of his own.
In case you were wondering, Brandon plays the funny rapper on “You’re the Worst.” And Nick quit after a dispute with the network.
