TEXT THERAPY THURSDAY QUESTION:

I CAN'T BELIEVE IM WRITING THIS. I'D NEVER CALL A RADIO STATION BUT I WOULD BE INETERESTED IN YOUR TEXT THERAPY THING. WHAT WOULD YOUR LISTENERS THINK OF THIS: MY HUSBAND RECENTLY DROPPED A LOT OF WEIGHT AND NOW HE'S GETTING A LOT OF ATTENTION FROM OTHER WOMEN. HE'S NEVER BEEN THE CHEATING KIND BUT HE'S NEVER HAD SO MANY WOMEN INTERESTED IN HIM BEFORE AND I'M AFRAID IT WILL TURN HIS HEAD. HOW DO I GET PAST FEELING THIS WAY? OH, ALSO I MYSELF NEED TO LOSE ABOUT 40 POUNDS...LOL

FOLLOW UP:

Me: Is your weight possibly a factor in this? Have you tried to lose weight too but not had as much success?

Her: I’VE TRIED ALL KINDS OF DIETS AND IT JUST WON’T COME OFF. I GUESS IT BUGS ME A LITTLE THAT HE DID IT SO QUICK.

Me: How do you know women are paying more attention to him?

Her: HE’S TOLD ME SO. HE CAN’T GO TO THE CONVENIENCE STORE WITHOUT COMING BACK AND TELLING ME SOME WOMAN HIT ON HIM OR COMMENTED HOW GOOD HE LOOKS.

How can our “patient” get past her jealousy?  Take our poll below and let us know...

Teen gets prosthetic legs from Boston Marathon Bombing survivor...

The Bottom Line: Boston Marathon bombing survivor who lost a leg in the bombing runs a foundation that helps other amputees.

The Full Story:

Last summer, 19-year-old Vidal Lopez lost both legs because of a car accident. But thanks to the Heather Abbott Foundation, he’s now getting used to his new state-of-the-art prosthetic legs. They paid for the St. Charles, Louisiana, teen’s $70,000 new legs.

The foundation was started by Boston Marathon bombing survivor Heather Abbott. Her left leg was amputated after being injured near the finish line that day and her foundation helps other amputees.

“I think in a few weeks or months, I’m going to be the same guy that I used to be,” Lopez says. “I think that I’m going to run. I think I’m going to play soccer.” And that’s pretty amazing!

Here's yet another reason Dogs are among our best friends!

Thanks to Freya the Bavarian mountain hound, a 14-year-old child with autism is safe and back home with family. Freya works with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana and her specialty is finding lost kids.

After Sheriff’s deputies couldn’t find the child, Freya and her handler, Deputy Ron Oliver, were called in. Within 20 minutes of her taking the scent of the missing child’s clothing, she found the child curled up in a wooded area. Thankfully, the teen was only scared and was in good health, and the whole search only lasted around three hours.

"This potential tragic story finished with a happy ending," Sheriff Randy Smith says. "Our canines are amazing animals who are invaluable to our deputies and citizens."
