Plants are the new steaks … Impossible Foods, the company behind the plant-based Impossible Burger, is now going to make a meatless “steak.” If you haven’t had one yet, the plant-based Impossible Burgers contain something called heme, a red iron molecule that makes food cook, taste and even “bleed” like beef. Is this a blessing or a curse? A woman in China woke up one morning unable to hear men’s voices. Apparently the woman went to bed feeling nauseous and having ringing in her ears. When she awoke the next day she was unable to hear her boyfriend’s voice. She was diagnosed with a rare form of low-frequency hearing damage called reverse-slope hearing loss (RSHL). The condition prevents people from hearing low-frequency sounds – like male voices, vehicles, thunder and voices over the phone.
