Motorists are calling it #HighwayRobbery The Washington Post reports "Tolls reached $40 during the Tuesday morning rush to travel 10 miles on Interstate 66 from the Virginia suburbs into Washington. It was the second day of new tolls for express lanes inside the Capital Beltway. At about 8 a.m., a driver who got on I-66 at the Beltway, headed to the District, would have paid $36.50. Minutes later, the toll reached $40. That tops the peak toll of Monday’s commute on the debut morning of the lanes, which reached $34.50."
So how high can these tolls go and how much are you willing to pay for convenience? It's already WAY out of my budget.
