I really don't know how I missed this movie, but I'm telling you right now, it's one of the best movies you'll ever see. The movie follows the actual events of Lt. Col. Michael Strobl escorting fallen Marine Chance Phelps body back to his family. This movie came out in 2009, but I absolutely don't remember seeing this ANYWHERE. Maybe I'm wrong, but this is the first I've ever seen or been told about it, but regardless, I'm glad I watched it! This movie was absolutely amazing, and really opened your eyes to what happens when one of our incredible military personnel is killed in the line of duty. My gosh, I can not get enough of this movie. I hate that it took me 12 freakin' years to watch it. If you're like me and haven't seen it either, check out a few trailers below and go watch it as soon as you can.
To all those who are serving, who did serve, their families, and those that lost their life defending our freedoms, THANK YOU. I am forever grateful for your service and your sacrifices for me and my family. You are true heroes, and nothing will ever change that.
