TAMPA -- School districts around the Tampa Bay area are announcing their reopening plans following Hurricane Milton.
Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk and Sarasota county schools will remain closed for students Tuesday. Most of those districts plan to reopen Wednesday.
Hillsborough hopes to reopen Wednesday but may not be able to. The district says a hundred Hillsborough schools still don't have power and more than a dozen still have standing water. There are also problems with supplying food for the cafeterias.
Citrus County schools reopened today, and students will have three make-up days this fall including Veterans' Day.
