Today Marks The End Of The 6-Month Atlantic Hurricane Season

Today marks November 30th, the official end to the six-month Atlantic Hurricane Season. And Floridians are still picking up the pieces from Hurricanes Ian and Nicole. Ian is the deadliest storm to strike the Sunshine State since the 1935, killing at least 157 people and causing some 50-billion in damage. Nicole caused an estimated 386-million in damage. The losses will be the focus of a special legislative session next month called by Governor DeSantis to discuss Florida's property insurance crisis. This is the second time the governor has called lawmakers back to the Capitol to work out the insurance kinks.
