The Martin County Sheriff's Office has arrested the supervisor for the county's Parks and Recreation Department on grand theft charges.

37-year-old Bryan Thomas Buxton of Jensen Beach is accused of using a county-issued credit card to purchase more than $1,000 in electronics at Walmart and then pawning the items, which included two brand new Nintendo game systems and an Apple smartwatch.

The owner of the Stuart pawn shop told investigators he found it odd that Buxton sold the new items for less money, rather than returning them to Walmart for a full refund.
