A South Florida congresswoman is calling this "a day of great hope and celebration."
Democrat Lois Frankel, in a video, says it's bittersweet, citing the lives lost from the pandemic and the need for 25-thousand troops to surround the Capitol. But she said there are so many things that make today sweet.
"A decent, compassionate man, Joe Biden, becomes President. The first woman-a woman of color-Kamala Harris, makes history by becoming this first Vice President."
Frankel calls Biden "a President whose priority is to crush COVID and bring back our economy," while saying she's "excited to be on the team that will build back better."
