(Miami, FL) -- An elderly Miami woman is accused of scamming dozens of prospective homebuyers.
Police this week arrested 83-year-old Lucille Poag on charges that include organized fraud. She allegedly took 18-hundred-dollar deposits from over 40 people over several years with the promise she would secure mortgages or government grants for them. Police though, claim she kept the money for herself and collected over 400-thousand dollars through the scheme.
Miami-Dade jail records show that Poag was being held on $45,000 bond.
