The good news is the overnight closures of I-95 in downtown Miami are over, now it's on to the next part of the massive overhaul of the I-95/I-395/State Road 836 interchange.
Tuesday morning the eastbound lanes of the Dolphin Expressway will shift to the right at I-95.
Wednesday morning the north and southbound 95 ramps to the 836 veer to the left.
Then the question for 95 drivers trying to access Biscayne Boulevard from 395 becomes 2B or not 2B because, those coming from northbound 95 will continue to exit at 2B to the right, but starting Wednesday morning southbound drivers will be forced to start using exit 2A to the left instead of 2B like they currently do.
Florida Department of Transportation's Oscar Gonzalez says, "Every time we make a shift, it mean we're making progress in the project so by doing this shift we're now opening up new areas for construction."
He anticipates it taking a week or two for drivers to get familiar with the new pattern.
