Palm Beach County Makes Plans In Case Of Immigration Influx

US-POLITICS-IMMIGRATION-MIGRANTS

Palm Beach County leaders are putting together a plan in case the feds send illegal immigrants from the border to the area.

They were caught off guard three months ago, when Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw revealed there was a plan by the federal government to resettle up to 500 immigrants from the Mexico border to Palm Beach and Broward counties each month, with no end in sight.

The plan was scrapped, but local officials want to be better prepared if something like that comes to fruition.

They've been creating a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Importation Plan to add under the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan and expect a draft to be completed by the end of the month.
