Meghan Markle's family's shameless antics continue.
In their latest attempt to remain somewhat relevant, the Duchess' estranged half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., revealed that he's invited Meghan and her husband Prince Harry to his upcoming wedding. "I think our wedding will bring the family closer together," he told DailyMailTV. "It’s hopeful that if Meghan and Harry came and my father, Meghan and Harry could spend some time together with him and that would be good." He continued: "[The wedding] would be a perfect time for Meg to get together with my dad – who is her father as well – and just put all the past behind everybody and move on and be a closer family again."
While Thomas' gesture may seem noble to those who aren't familiar with the controversial Markle family, it should be noted that Thomas and Meghan's relationship has been rocky, to say the least, for years. Thomas, who was not invited to the royal wedding, was an extremely vocal critic of Meghan's marriage to Prince Harry. He even wrote a public letter addressed to the Duke that slammed Meghan and told him not to marry her.
"As more time passes to your royal wedding, it became very clear that this is the biggest mistake in royal wedding history," Tom wrote in his handwritten letter shared by InTouch days before the royal wedding. "Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you." He added, amongst other things, that she is a "jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage."
Tom is set to wed his girlfriend of two-years Darlene Blount in either Reno or Las Vegas this March.
